TIA Adds 1,000 New Members in 2013

Nov. 21, 2013

Nov. 21, 2013—The Tire Industry Association (TIA) announced Thursday that it has added its 1,000th new member for 2013, marking the first time in the organization's 93-year history that TIA has reached the milestone.

Earlier this month, Leipold Tire, a family-owned independent tire dealer with two locations in the Akron, Ohio, area became the association's 1,000th member of 2013.

"Once I became aware of all that TIA has to offer, it was an easy decision to become a member. I know that TIA is working on behalf of small businesses like mine so it is well worth the annual membership dues," said Dennis Leipold.

"It is great to know that we have had a record number of new members join TIA this year,” said TIA executive vice president Roy Littlefield. “We continue to deliver value to our members through our training programs, advocacy work and member benefits programs. For those of you who have not yet explored membership in TIA, I encourage you to contact our membership department to learn how membership in TIA can benefit your business."
