May 24 2013—The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of Minnesota (AASP-MN) recently honored Bill Sauer, founder of Identifix, with a Lifetime Service Award.
The AASP-MN recognized Sauer for his many years as a volunteer and supporter of the automotive industry. Sauer currently serves on the AASP-MN’s Education and Training Committee, and is a member of the Automotive Training Managers Council and the Automotive Service Association.
He is also a former board member of the Automotive Management Institute and has served on numerous tech school advisory boards.
“Bill Sauer is loved by virtually everyone in this industry, and especially by his friends at AASP-MN,” said Judell Anderson, executive director of AASP-MN. “Between the experts at Identifix and his connections with others in the industry, Bill has been an invaluable resource to AASP-MN when it comes to delivering quality training to our members.”
After founding Identifix 26 years ago, Sauer is now semi-retired but continues to work on making enhancements to Direct-Hit and the Identifix Repair Hotline.
