Honda, Waymo Discuss Self-Driving Technology

Dec. 22, 2016—Honda R&D has entered into discussions with Waymo, Google Alphabet's new company, to discuss collaborating on self-driving technology, according to a report by Automotive News.

Honda said in a statement on Wednesday that it is hoping to learn how Waymo's sensors and software can be integrated into Honda vehicles through collaboration between both companies' engineers, according to the report. As part of the agreement, Automotive News reports that Honda could also provide vehicles to Waymo's self-driving fleet.
