Dec. 27, 2016—A new report by the Freedonia Group states automotive repair and maintenance services in the U.S. are expected to grow 2.2 percent through 2020.
The study, which covers the years 2015-2020, credits the expected growth to the expansion of light vehicles and the rising prices of repairs.
The growth is expected to total $133 billion, consisting of several industry segments, such as repair and maintenance, oil and lube services, transmission, exhaust, and new car dealers. Of the $133 billion, the repair and maintenance segment makes up by far the most, totaling $61.2 billion.
