March 22, 2017—The Automotive Service Association (ASA) has announced its opposition to Maine House Bill 439 and 567, which would require a biennial safety inspection as opposed to the current annual requirement.

The bill was introduced by State Rep. Paul Stearns, R-119 and is co-sponsored by State Rep. Richard Cebra, R-68.

Both HB 439 and HB 567 are scheduled for committee hearings this week. ASA is encouraging all interested parties in Maine to visit TakingTheHill.com.
