The recall is due to incorrect airbag information that could increase the risk of injury in the event of a collision.

May 10, 2017—Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling 113,896 Ram ProMaster vans because of incorrect airbag information that could increase the risk of injury in the event of a collision.

The recall includes 2014 to 2017 model year versions of the vehicle.

The sun visor, dashboard labels and owner's manual state that the affected vans are equipped with frontal driver and passenger advanced airbags when this is not the case. If the occupants rely on the incorrect information provided to them they may position themselves closer to the airbags, according to the recall report.

The misinformation can “increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash,” said the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

No crashes or injuries related to this issue have been reported.

The recall is expected to begin around June 9.
