Nov. 10, 2017—The Auto Care Association, in partnership with the International Trade Administration and the U.S. Commercial Service, hosted the second annual International Matchmaking Program at AAPEX 2017.

The initiative is part of an award the association received from the U.S. Department of Commerce to help the automotive aftermarket industry increase its exports.

The program successfully connected suppliers at AAPEX with a select group of international buyers. The Auto Care Association matched the participants’ buying and product interests, and scheduled 60 one-on-one meetings on Oct. 31 - Nov. 1 at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas.

In addition to the matchmaking program, the association organized successful trade missions to Colombia, Honduras and Nicaragua in 2017 as part of the federal award, and will be hosting a new trade mission to Costa Rica May 21-22.
