Chrysler Group Named Corporation Of The Year At Urban Wheel Awards

Jan. 15, 2013—Chrysler Group was named “Corporation of the Year” at the Urban Wheel Awards in Detroit Sunday for its achievements in developing women leaders in the automotive industry, according to a Chrysler statement.

An independent committee of journalists from multiple media outlets selected Chrysler to receive top corporation honors.

Chrysler officials said the recognition validates the company’s long-held commitment to diversity.

"It is an honor to accept this recognition of our accomplishments as a leader in developing the careers of women in the automotive industry," Georgette Borrego Dulworth, director of talent acquisition and diversity at Chrysler Group LLC, said in a statement. "Chrysler Group aspires to be considered a diversity leader and an employer of choice not just among automotive companies, but among all companies.”
