April 17, 2018—American Honda will voluntarily recall 5,827 model-year 2018 Acura MDX, Honda Pilot and Honda Ridgeline vehicles in the U.S. to replace front seat frame components.

Affected vehicles were potentially assembled with driver and/or front passenger powered seats that used improperly manufactured rivets to secure the seat slide rails to the forward seat feet.

In the event of a crash, the rivets can break and allow the front seat(s) to separate from the vehicle floor, increasing the risk of injury to the seated occupant. Honda has received no reports of crashes or injuries related to this condition.
