Woman Arrested for Theft at Auto Business

Indiana woman arrested for allegedly stealing $50,000 from Standford Automotive Repair in LaGrange, Ind.
October 3, 2018 — Sandra Sharples, 40, of LaGrange, Ind., was arrested for allegedly stealing $50,000 from Standford Automotive Repair over the course of six-months, The LaGrange Daily News reports. According to Det. Ley Wynne of the LaGrange Police Department, Sharples allegedly funneled business money into her personal account, The LaGrange Daily News cites. 

Sharples worked in the company office and created square accounts, Wynne told The LaGrange Daily News, and was caught once the company realized the money was missing after finishing a self-review. 

According to The LaGrange Daily News, Sharples is charged with seven counts of theft and 10 counts of identify fraud, and held with a $117,800 bond.
