Thomason Tire of McKinney, Texas, is celebrating 65 years in business.

March 11, 2019—A tire shop in Texas is celebrating 65 years in business. According to The Courier-Gazette, Thomason Tire of McKinney, Texas, was formerly owned by Archie T. Pior who made the original location a Gulf Service Station.

In 1954, Glen Thomason then purchased the location from Pior, The Courier-Gazette reports. According to the publication, Thomason and his wife Lola were on the road to see Lola's mother in Celina, Texas when the couple saw the Gulf station was for rent.

Since the initial purchase, the tire company has had four generations work in the location, The Courier-Gazette reports.
