The death of a fellow plant worker caused workers to go on strike.

Oct. 3, 2019—The Associated Press reports that workers at an Italian Fiat Chrysler plant also opted to go on strike.

This was prompted by the death of a 40-year-old plant worker, who was moving heavy mold in the cold press area of the plant, the AP reports. Authorities are investigating the incident. The plant produces multiple Alfa Romeo models.

The strike, which was reported on Oct. 1, was an eight-hour affair.
