Jan. 27, 2020—The Auto Care Association announced the addition of Shehryar Fatmi as director, technology, under its technology and standards department.

Fatmi brings nearly two decades of experience in IT operations, project management, IT enterprise management and strategic planning. During his time at AARP (American Association for Retired Persons) as the Technology Project Leader, Fatmi successfully managed and delivered projects involving Microsoft SharePoint technologies, Microsoft CRM and other web technologies. Fatmi specializes in project management, with the capacity to effectively manage, develop and deploy a large number of concurrent technology projects, including real-time, web-based and data-management systems at a corporate level. Fatmi’s expertise will be used to lead and manage the association’s technology team toward high collaboration and performance, and ensure responsive audits, design, and the development of tools and resources from point of concept through implementation.

Fatmi holds an MBA and a master’s degree of science in Engineering Management/Software Engineering and Information Systems Management from George Washington University, and holds certifications in Salesforce and CSM (Certified Scrum Master).
