Kathleen Schmatz Joins NASTF Board of Directors

April 8, 2013

April 8, 2013—Kathleen Schmatz, president and CEO of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA), was recently elected to fill the vacant director position on the National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF) Board of Directors.

Skip Potter, executive director of NASTF, welcomed Schmatz to the board. "The addition of AAIA to NASTF's base of committed supporters is an exciting opportunity for our entire industry," Potter said in a statement.

Schmatz sees her appointment as an opportunity for AAIA and NASTF to work toward a shared goal.

"Ensuring affordable and effective access to the service information, software and sophisticated tools needed to work on late-model computer-controlled vehicles has always been a major goal of AAIA, and we see NASTF as playing a key role in working toward achieving that goal," Schmatz said in a statement.  "I am pleased to join the leadership of NASTF and to work with other board members toward growing the effectiveness of the organization in resolving vehicle service issues.
