March 9, 2020—An auto repair shop in Jackson, Tenn., is teaming up with other businesses in the area to collect donations for victims of the tornado that struck the middle of the state last Tuesday, reports WBBJ 7.
Jackson Auto Repair has joined American Patriot Vanguard RC, American Patriot III, and Milan Supply Chain Solutions to collect donations. Collections will be taken at the auto repair shop starting today through March 23.
Once the trailer is full, it will be delivered to victims and relief effort teams by Milan Supply Chain Solutions.
Requested items include the following:
- Water (individual sized and gallon jugs)
- Non-perishable food (cans, boxed)
- Toilet paper, wet wipes
- Feminine hygiene products
- Toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo
- New pillows, blankets
- Flashlights
- New linens, sleeping bags
- Batteries
- Diapers, soap, baby formula
- Tarps, first aid supplies, work gloves
With this news, auto repair shops can aim to lend a hand to their community, like one shop owner, Jordon Baker, did when a destructive storm hit Dallas in June.
