According to a press release, the $700 million investment will create a high-tech manufacturing hub for the brand's upcoming all-electric F-150 truck and the first-ever F-150 PowerBoost hybrid. Ford hopes to begin production on the new line by mid-2022.

Today, Ford also announced the start of production for the latest model of the F-150 truck. Ford's F-series franchise generates more revenue than some household names including Coca-Cola, Nike, and Netflix.
