Students Compete in New York International Auto Show

March 2, 2020—Two students from Rockland BOCES in West Nyack, N.Y., are preparing for the national championship competition at the New York International Auto Show in April, reports Lohud.
Students Peter Moger and Luis Pinto-Samayoa are up for thousands of dollars in scholarships if they win. Recently, Moger and Pinto-Samayo took first place in the New York State Automotive Technology championships. According to the report, their upcoming national competition includes 27 teams from states that have high school level auto tech programs.

New York has even had its very own New York Auto Tech Competition to prepare the next generation for computer-based vehicles.
Other states have taken part in competitions like this one, including the Massachusetts State Automobile Dealers Association and its annual Automotive Technology Competition.
