RepairSmith Launches in San Diego

With custom-built repair vans outfitted with all of the tools and equipment needed to serve car owners, RepairSmith’s technicians can check, diagnose and identify issues—and fix about 85 percent of repairs a car may need—right in a driveway or parking lot, without any added delivery fees.

Oct. 30, 2019—Two months after introducing its at-home car repair and maintenance service in Los Angeles and San Francisco, RepairSmith is expanding to San Diego with expert mechanics and state-of-the-art, custom repair vans ready to deliver service to car owners in their driveway.

“People have been repairing their cars the same way for more than 50 years. The traditional experience is time consuming and lacks transparency. RepairSmith is changing that by offering online scheduling, upfront pricing and a choice of service location,” says Joel Milne, CEO of RepairSmith. “We designed RepairSmith to fit the busy lifestyles of car owners by providing the ultimate experience in convenience.”

RepairSmith is the first and only provider to offer a complete car repair solution. RS Delivery offers repair direct in a car owner’s driveway or workplace. If a car owner prefers to drive their own car in for service, RepairSmith’s RS Drop Off service allows the customer to drop their vehicle off at a certified RepairSmith shop.

With custom-built repair vans outfitted with all of the tools and equipment needed to serve car owners, RepairSmith’s expert mechanics can check, diagnose and identify any issue—and fix about 85 percent of repairs a car may need—right in a driveway or parking lot, without any added delivery fees. If more sophisticated tools are required to get the job done, RepairSmith will take the customer’s vehicle to a certified RepairSmith shop to complete the repair and return it when the job is done. All repairs are backed by a 12-month/12,000-mile warranty and the highest level of professional standards.

RepairSmith is available for car owners in all cities across San Diego, including Carlsbad, Chula Vista, Coronado, Del Mar, El Cajon, Encinitas, Escondido, Imperial Beach, La Mesa, Lemon Grove, National City, Oceanside, Poway, San Diego, San Marcos, Santee, Solana Beach and Vista.

Along with the rollout in San Diego, RepairSmith is simultaneously launching in Orange County. With this expansion, RepairSmith now delivers car repair to all of southern California’s major metropolitan areas.

Headquartered in Los Angeles, RepairSmith is backed by a major investment commitment from Daimler AG, one of the world’s most successful car companies and the maker of Mercedes-Benz. RepairSmith is available for all vehicle types; it is not limited to vehicles manufactured by Daimler AG.
