August 28, 2019—A vintage auto restoration program at Raymond Hill School in New Britain, Conn. is allowing students to learn basic auto mechanic skills, reports theMarketplace.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics shows there will be an increased need for auto technicians between now and 2026, and this after-school program allows students to get to know the different tools, how to use them safely when fixing cars, and get them interested in the field itself.
In addition, high school students will learn the fundamentals of auto repair, the workings of an automobile, and will also have the opportunity to repair small engines, such as lawnmowers, snowblowers, and more.
