May 24, 2018—The car shopping website iSeeCars.com looked at recall campaigns for all vehicles from the 2013-2017 model years via the NHTSA’s database. They determined the average recall rates for each model having annual sales of 50,000 or more, and compiled them into lists of the most and least recalled vehicles.
Overall, the subcompact Hyundai Accent is the vehicle iSeeCars.com determined has the lowest recall rate, at 0.10 per 100,000 units sold annually, while the Mercedes-Benz C-Class posted the highest recall rate at 5.77 per 100K sold, 7.3 times the overall average recall rate. The top five in each category are listed below.
