Feb. 28, 2018—Ford will soon add a voice-activated assistant to its SYNC 3 infotainment system, providing navigation guidance to drivers via their own voice commands, as noted in a PYMNTS.com report.
The new voice-activated driving assistant is from Sygic and will reportedly be called “Driving Assistant.” It works with Sygic’s GPS navigation app. According to the company, the assistant is a “voice-controlled co-driver that help the driver identify nearby rest stops, restaurants, hotels” and other destinations. Drivers will simply need to tap a button on their steering wheel to prompt the assistant.
Driving Assistant will be available in 24 languages, and the voice activation system will allow drivers to request information on traffic along their route, parking advice, or gas prices in their area, and so forth.
