Women’s Board Raises Record Amount for Scholarship Program

Feb. 21, 2013

Feb. 21, 2013—The Car Care Council Women’s Board (WB) raised more than $5,000 in its silent auction during the 2013 Women’s Board winter meeting, held earlier this month.

All proceeds from the first-ever auction will go to the WB scholarship fund, which will allow the WB to award a record number of scholarships this year.

“A key objective of the WB is to support and encourage women pursuing a career in the automotive aftermarket,” said Ruth Ehlinger, WB president. “What better way are we able to do this than through the WB scholarship fund? We could not be more excited with the results achieved at our first-ever silent auction and we thank every individual and organization that contributed to its success.”

The board will be giving away six scholarships—three to post-secondary students and three to high school students—to female students entering the automotive aftermarket.
