Oct. 4, 2013—The Automotive Service Association of the Midwest (ASA-Midwest) has announced two roundtable events and launched a new student membership program with the goal of connecting students of the automotive industry with current industry professionals, tools for success and training opportunities.
The first roundtable event, “How to Cut Expenses,” will be held from 6:30–8:30 p.m. on Oct. 23 at the Midtown Hy-Vee in Lincoln, Neb. The second roundtable event, “What Keeps You Up At Night?,” will be held from 6:30–8:30 on Nov. 14 at the AAA Offices in St. Louis, Mo.
Both events include dinner and are $20 for ASA members and $25 for non-members.
With the student membership program, the ASA-Midwest aims to prepare and equip students with the tools and resources necessary for the transition into the automotive service profession while introducing them to current industry standards.
This free membership opportunity is open to all students currently enrolled in a high school, vo-tech, or college automotive technology program in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Arkansas or Oklahoma.
The application for student membership is now available online.
