Cardone Industries Receives Triangle Award

Sept. 30, 2014

Sept. 30, 2014 – Michael Cardone Jr., owner and chief strategy officer for Cardone Industries, has been named the latest recipient of the Triangle Award, given by the Motor and Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA).

The award was presented on Sept. 24, during the Motor and Equipment Remanufacturers Association (MERA) Golisano Conference held in Rochester, N.Y.

Cardone founded Cardone Industries in 1970 in Philadelphia, and today, the company employs over 6,000 individuals and is the largest family-owned remanufacturer of auto parts in the world.

In addition to overseeing Cardone Industries, Cardone has served on the Board of Governors of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association, has been a past chairman on the MEMA Board of Directors, and is the founding chairman of MERA.

“It is fitting that as this prestigious award marks its 40th year, we recognize an individual who has had such a long-standing influence on the motor vehicle parts industry and an impressive record of service to MEMA and MERA,” said Steve Handschuh, president and chief executive officer of MEMA. “The growth of CARDONE Industries and MERA is a testament to Michael’s drive and commitment.”
