Tenneco’s Monroe Ride & Drive Program Back for 14th Year

May 28, 2015

May 28, 2015—Tenneco’s Monroe Ride & Drive program, now in its 14th year, is expected to attract nearly 10,000 attendees to its 47-event tour this year. The program is an extensive training series that provides industry professionals with undercar education and business growth information.

Attendees of the program will have the opportunity to complete the Monroe “Quick-Strut Challenge,” an installation challenge where participants install a Monroe-Quick-Strut replacement assembly on a 2001 Toyota Camry. Attendees are also eligible to win a Monroe counter stool.

The undercar training program provides a behind-the-wheel session that allows attendees the opportunity to ride in cars that have new versus worn ride components. The vehicles in the driving session include 2009 BMW 328i Sedans, 2011 GMC Acadia SUVs, and 2011 Chrysler Town & Country minivans.

“The Monroe Ride & Drive program continues to provide our trade partners with a strong foundation in identifying the characteristics and differences of worn versus properly functioning ride control components and how these components may impact overall vehicle safety,” said Chuck Osgood, manager of training and sales operations, North American aftermarket, Tenneco. “This truly helps drive confidence in the service bay and at the counter when speaking with customers, and the result of this training can be seen directly in the bottom line.”
