Aug. 8, 2014—The North American Council of Automotive Teachers Inc. (NACAT) has named Bill Haas its new business manager, the organization announced Friday.
Haas, who has over 40 years of automotive service and repair industry experience, assumed the part-time role Aug. 1, but won’t take on full duties and responsibilities until Sept. 1. His time will be split between NACAT and his management training, consulting and coaching company, Haas Performance Consulting.
“NACAT is excited to bring Bill on board as the new business manager,” Rob Thompson, NACAT president, said. “Bill brings with him an enormous amount of experience in the automotive industry. In addition, Bill's wide range of knowledge and contacts with people in the industry will continue to help NACAT grow and better serve its members.”
Prior to his current roles, Haas served as vice president of education and training for the Automotive Service Association (ASA) for about 12 years. He also has received the Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) credential from the Automotive Management Institute and has been a member of the institute's faculty since 2002.
Founded in 1974, NACAT’s mission is to promote, update and improve automotive education. For more information about the organization, visit NACAT.org.
