Oct. 2, 2013—Snap-on announced Tuesday the release of MODIS Ultra, a new multifunction, diagnostic tool that includes a fully integrated scan tool, lab scope, vehicle-specific communication software and expert information resources.
“MODIS Ultra is the much anticipated sequel to Snap-on’s most popular diagnostic tool ever,” said Mark Schaefer, director of marketing at Snap-on Diagnostics. “We took all of the features that automotive technicians loved about the first one and made it even better with enhanced functionality, a faster operating system and a bigger, full-color touchscreen display.”
The MODIS Ultra has a built-in graphing meter, a two-channel high-speed scope and exclusive fast-track guided component tests. It includes automated tests such as cylinder contribution tests and after-repair validation tests that are rarely found outside of factory tools.
