Oct. 29, 2014—Snap-on announced on Tuesday the release of its new tire-changer, the Motorized Wheel Balancer with Raised Display (EEWB332A).
“The new Snap-On Motorized Wheel Balancer with Raised Display is ideal for shops of all sizes and has high-end features such as multiple ALU modes and hidden spoke mode,” Mike DeKeuster, product manager for Snap-on, said in a release. “The EEWB332A is the perfect complement to our current array of Snap-on tire changers.”
The new Snap-on Motorized Wheel Balancer with Raised Display comes equipped with a sonar sensor that eliminates the manual measurement of the rim width, allowing for increased throughput time. The EEWB332A also features motorized operation with both static and dynamic balancing modes; five ALU modes to place weights in the proper location on multiple wheel configurations; and two ALU-S modes for exact weight placement when using tape weights.
The EEWB332A also has a hidden spoke mode to split weight placement behind the rim spokes, which is most important with higher-end, luxury wheels. It also features weight minimization and optimization modes to limit the amount of weight usage. In addition, the multiple operator feature allows several users to quickly recall their individual settings and the Virtual Plane Imaging (VPI) technology provides improved accuracy.
