Detroit Auto Show’s Top American Car, Truck Announced

Jan. 11, 2016—The Honda Civic and the Volvo XC90 took home top honors at the North American International Auto Show, according to a report by Automotive News. The Honda Civic was named the 2016 North American Car of the Year and the Volvo XC90 took home honors for the top truck.

The Civic previously won the best car award in 2006, and the XC90 won Truck of the Year in 2003.

The winning vehicles are selected by a jury of 53 automotive journalist who choose from a group of three finalists in each category.
