Feb. 22, 2019—A family-run shop in Minnesota has been purchased. According to Farmington Independent, family-run Pedersen Auto Shop in Farmington, Minn., has been purchased by Impact Auto Repair.
"We were able to make a deal and purchase it from him," Jimi Brown, co-owner of Impact Auto said to the Farmington Independent.
According to the publication, Impact Auto Repair was in the market for a new location and began speaking with the shop about the opportunity.
"The plan would be to hopefully put an addition on this building and we could get two or three more bays and then perhaps in a couple years we would move out of that location and have everybody be here at this location," Brown said to Farmington Independent.
The shop will likely become a permanent home, co-owner of Impact Auto, Scott Davids said to Farmington Independent. In addition to the move, Pedersen Auto Shop mechanics, Scott Anderson and Mike Kylen will continue to work after the business transition, the publication reports.
"This second location will probably be our permanent home," added Impact Auto co-owner Scott Davids.
"It is great and it gives us a definite future in this town having our own building, and since Farmington is where we started and where we want to stay, it seeded our future," Davids said to the Farmington Independent. "Many customers know them and trust them (Anderson and Kylen) and that is very important to us."
