Advance Auto Parts Announces Leadership Change

Herman L. Word, Jr. (“Junior”) has been with Advance for nearly 20 years ago and has distinguished himself as an outstanding operator and developer of talent.

September 27, 2022— Michael C. Creedon, Jr., executive vice president, U.S. stores, will step down from his role at Advance Auto Parts and will be succeeded by Herman L. Word, Jr. (“Junior”), according to a press release distributed by the company. 

Word has served as division president, Carquest North America, since 2019 and has been with Advance since 2003.
