August 18, 2022—Mitchell 1 has named David Patience, an automotive technology instructor at Metropolitan Community College - Longview in Kansas City, Missouri, its Educator of the Year, according to a company press release.
Patience, a 37-year veteran in the automotive industry, which includes 19 as an instructor at Metropolitan Community College, is an ASE-Certified Master Technician and a Ford Senior Master Technician. He also holds the highest score—including perfect scores on six of nine tests—on the recent National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification tests for U.S. and Canadian educators.
“David was selected for this honor for going above and beyond to prepare students for a professional career in the auto repair industry.
