Philadelphia-based Morris Auto Parts was founded in 1922 by Morris Steinberg.

July 12, 2022—Morris Auto Parts has turned 100 years old.

According to a press release, Morris Auto Parts was started in 1922 by Morris Steinberg, the son of Harris and Hannah Steinberg, who immigrated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from Poland in the late 1800's.

Morris originally sold both auto and buggy parts. After Morris passed, his son Gene took over and opened a machine shop and repair shop to compliment the business. Fast-forward to today, and Gene's son Harris is in charge.

"If the founding year were compared to the year of a bottle of wine, 1922 was a good year." Steve Tucker, President of Automotive Parts Associates, said in the press release.
