The remains came from a fatal pedestrian-involved multi car crash from December and were lodged in the car ever since.

Feb. 14, 2022—A New Jersey auto repair shop reportedly found human remains in a vehicle’s grill and undercarriage last week, NBC News reported.

According to investigators the remains came from a fatal pedestrian-involved multi car crash from December in which a man was struck while pushing a shopping cart on the New Jersey Turnpike.

The vehicle owner is not being charged for anything related to the incident.

"She may have thought she ran over some kind of debris, but as it turned out it was some remains," Linden Police Capt. Christopher Guenther told the outlet. "She wasn't the initial striking vehicle, and for whatever reason, this stuff was underneath her car for around a month."
