Dorman Acquires Dayton Parts

The move will expand Dorman’s heavy-duty manufacturing and distribution platform with strategically placed distribution centers.

July 8, 2021—Dorman Products, Inc. has entered into a $338 million agreement to acquire Dayton Parts.

The acquisition of Dayton, which produces a line of undercarriage and related products for commercial vehicles that generated $168 million in net sales last year, is expected to close in the second half of 2021.

The acquisition will expand Dorman’s heavy-duty manufacturing and distribution platform, providing strategically placed distribution centers closer to wholesale distributors throughout the United States and Canada.
