Jan. 25, 2021—A new facility aimed at preparing future employees for high-demand jobs, like auto technicians, officially welcomed its first students last week, the Lewiston Tribune reported.
The $27 million Schweitzer Career and Technical Education Center at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston Orchards, Idaho, has been in the works for seven years with hopes of bolstering the area’s economy.
The three-story, 86,000-square-foot facility will house much of the college's auto mechanics technology program as well as its CNC machining technology, information technology, engineering technology, industrial electronics technology, industrial maintenance and millwright technology, and heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC-R) technology programs.
