AASP-MN Raises $14K for Automotive Scholarships

The fundraising go-kart race featured 195 racers organized into four teams comprised of people in auto repair, collision and parts supply.  

Feb. 23, 2023—The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of Minnesota (AASP-MN) raised over $14,000 at its annual race held January 23-26 at ProKart Indoor Racing in Burnsville, Minnesota. 

The money raised will fund automotive scholarships for students in ASE-accredited auto service and collision repair programs in Minnesota’s technical colleges. 

As stated in its press release, the race featured 195 racers organized into four teams comprised of people in auto repair, collision and parts supply.  

Sponsors of the event included 1 Collision Network, 3M, Auto Value/Benco Equipment, CBIZ, Dentsmart PDR, Finishaster, Justice Brothers Car Care Product, LKQ-Minnesota, Lube-Tech & Partners and United Fire Group  

Established in 2002, the Automotive Education Fund provides has invested nearly $310,000 in scholarships and financial resources to support automotive students, enhance automotive programs and raise awareness of career opportunities in the automotive service industry.
