At Advance Auto Parts' new location in Maryland, they announced a donation to an automotive technology program for high school students.

Feb. 15, 2023–Advance Auto Parts has made a donation to Maryland’s Anne Arundel County Public Schools Center of Applied Technologies North (CAT North) automotive technology program, according to a press release.

The program teaches Anne Arundel County high school students about maintaining and repairing “automotive engines, wheels and brake systems.”

Advance presented the donation on Wednesday to instructor Don Kerr at their new location in Severna Park, Maryland, on 500 Ritchie Highway. The donation consisted of training tools to be used by students and teachers, and a $1,000 gift card for Advance.

“Our local team is thrilled to present this donation to the automotive technology program at CAT North,” said Advance district manager Chip Simons. He hopes that the program “sparks interest and encourages students to pursue a career in the automotive industry.”
