Yelp will be bringing several new updates to its service, including adding videos to reviews and AI assistance, Tech Crunch reports.
The review website will allow users to add high-resolution videos with a maximum length of 12 seconds. The videos can be posted alongside text reviews and photos.
AI will also be implemented in the new update to help users find better results that are not restricted to their location for future plans in other areas.
Other new features include “interactive review topics” that will encourage users leaving reviews to add certain details about their experience, and a “Yelp Guaranteed” program, which will offer users up to $2,500 back if they encounter problems.
“When you hire an eligible business through Yelp’s Request a Quote, you’ll automatically be enrolled in the program, allowing you to submit a claim if you run into challenges resolving an issue directly with the business–either because you’re not satisfied with the work performed, property was damaged related to the project or if the business was a no-show on a pre-paid job,” the company wrote in a blog post.
