The ASE Education Foundation has given ASE accreditation in maintenance and light repair to Red River High School in Grand Forks, North Dakota, Grand Forks Herald reports.
The ASE Education Foundation is an independent, nonprofit organization that recognizes credible entry-level training programs for technicians. ASE Education Foundation President Michael Coley said that the program supports “cooperation between local education and industry leaders” and makes it so that “graduates will be employable entry-level technicians.”
Executive Director of Career and Technical Education and Technology at Grand Forks Public Schools Eric Ripley credited automotive instructor Kevin Nelson for “working closely” with the ASE Education Foundation to make sure their program met the required standards.
“To be recognized as an ASE-accredited training program is a credit to Mr. Nelson's efforts in providing our students a high-quality education that prepares them for the career pathways within the automotive industry,” Ripley stated.
