TechForce Foundation has announced the five category winners of this year’s Techs Rock Awards and will be opening voting for the Grand Prize winner, according to a press release.

The five winners were chosen from a pool of hundreds of nominees by a panel of industry experts. Each winner will receive more than $1,900 in prizes.

The Barrier Buster category is for technicians that have overcome obstacles. This year it was awarded to Riley Schlick-Trask of Riley’s Builds. In the Die Hard category, technicians who are especially passionate about the industry are recognized. Bryan Kuehni of Advantage Chevrolet Bolingbrook was named the Die Hard winner this year.

The Pay it Forward category, which recognizes technicians who have shown support for their community, was awarded to Bradley Hindman of Mission Auto Repair.

The Outstanding Mentor category was awarded to James Jacobsen of Lake Motor Company, with Rookie of the Year going to Jinelee Galindez of Mercedes Benz of South Orlando.

Of the five winners, one will be voted by the public to be the Grand Prize Winner, receiving a paid trip to STX 2024 in Nashville, Tennesse, and an additional $6,000 worth of prizes. Public voting will be open through June 16.
