A markup session on the REPAIR Act will be held today by the United States House of Representatives Subcommittee on Innovation, Data and Commerce.

A markup session on the REPAIR Act will be held today by the United States House of Representatives Subcommittee on Innovation, Data and Commerce, according to a press release.

HR 906, also called the REPAIR Act, will be considered by the House Subcommittee during a markup session taking place on November 2 at 10 a.m. ET.

The session is a vital step toward codifying vehicle data access protections in federal law, with the outcome affecting the REPAIR Act’s progression to the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

Today’s event follows two prior congressional hearings on the legislation, as well as a White House roundtable last week that discussed how consumer choice and the automotive repair market are impacted by the REPAIR Act.

A livestream to view the markup session may be accessed here.
