The University of the Aftermarket Foundation (UAF) has given Bob Egan its Educational Advocacy Award, according to a press release.

Since 2017, Egan has served as chairman of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation and recently moved to the role of chairman emeritus. During his time with UAF, the organization has seen a record growth in funding for its scholarships and educational programs. 

Egan held a 36-year-long career at Federal-Mogul, from which he retired in 2015. He held a number of executive roles, with his last title being senior vice president of sales and strategy.

Alongside being chairman of UAF, Egan has served as chairman of the Auto Care Association, the Automotive Sales Council, the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association and Business Forum.

UAF’s award is not the first time Egan has received recognition. In 2008, he was awarded “Leader of the Year” by the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA).

“For the past six years, Bob has led UAF by example, actively participating in committees and reviewing countless scholarship applications each year,” said Roger McCollum, AAP, chairman of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation. “The UAF Educational Advocacy Award is rarely presented and there is no one more deserving to receive it than Bob Egan.”
