The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) will now be offering its automobile advanced engine performance specialist (L1) and medium/heavy truck electronic diesel engine diagnosis specialist (L2) certification tests through a paperless format, according to a press release.
The two tests join both the light-duty hybrid/electric vehicle specialist (L3) with certification test reference and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) specialist (L4) with composite vehicle in offering a paperless format to take the tests.
Additionally, certification test references and composite vehicle documents for all ASE advanced-level tests will now be available during testing through electronic PDF only.
“We know that time is valuable for service professionals, so by transitioning to paperless testing, we have made the L1 and L2 testing options more convenient for them,” said ASE President and CEO Dave Johnson. “Now L1 and L2 test takers can use the ProProctor remote test delivery platform as an option for recertification.”
