The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) has announced an upcoming webinar on using Mode $06 in diagnostics, according to a press release.
The live session will be broadcast on May 21 and will be led by Vince Manship of Garage Gurus. Manship will go over the complexities of Mode $06 and how it can provide insight into vehicle diagnostics.
How to read and interpret data from Mode $06, as well as factors that may cause information to be unreliable, will be outlined in the webinar. Using examples of Mode $06 captures from problem vehicles, Manship will go over the data with attendees and show how to understand it.
Participants can expect to learn how to locate Mode $06 in a scan tool; understand Mode $06’s data component ID (CID), monitor ID (MID), and Test ID; define its testing parameters; and how to use the information gained from Mode $06 data in vehicle diagnostics.
Those who participate in the live session will gain a certificate of attendance within one week, and those who register and miss the session will receive access to a recorded version if available.
