Tennessee Shop Launches ‘Operation Mechanic Hurricane Helene’ Relief Effort

Oct. 10, 2024
The initiative aims to repair storm-damaged vehicles for displaced residents, and is seeking shops and technicians to volunteer.

501 Tech Stack, a company providing digital solutions to nonprofits, has partnered with Operation Mechanic Hurricane Helene to put the group in touch with those in need of help, as well as potential volunteers in the auto repair community.

Launched by Mechanic On Wheels, LLC—a mobile auto repair service in Kingsport, Tennessee—Operation Mechanic Hurricane Helene is a volunteer-led initiative helping to repair storm-damaged vehicles for displaced residents throughout East Tennessee and Western North Carolina.

As the group seeks support for its mission, 501 Tech Stack is donating its services to assist with tracking vehicle repair requests and coordinating volunteers, as shared in a recent press release.

Now, the organization is urging auto repair shops and technicians interested in helping to help in any way they can; whether it be donations of car parts, supplies, financial contributions, or volunteering in the field.

“This community is strong, and we’re honored to play a small role in their recovery,” said 501 Tech Stack Co-Founder Michelle Williamson.
