An auto repair shop in Auburn, Indiana, has received support from the city to renovate its facility, reports KPC News.

Serving Auburn and DeKalb County for nearly 25 years now, Barron’s Automotive Repair was finally able to update its exterior with help from Auburn Main Street’s façade grant program.

Since 2023, the program has provided $44,056.36 in funds for local businesses to update their façades. Businesses within the city’s economic development area operating out of buildings at least 50 years old are able to apply for up to $15,000 in matching funds to renovate their facility.

Barron’s Automotive Repair was the third business to receive a grant from the program this year. The funds were used to install new signage on the front of the shop’s building.
