Christian Brothers Automotive has recently launched mobile repair services in select markets, according to a press release.
Following two years of pilot testing, the new service, called On Location, brings automotive technicians directly to a customer for on-the-spot service.
Currently, the service has been launched in Melbourne, Florida, and San Antonio, Texas, as well as the Phoenix, Arizona, suburbs of Surprise and Peoria-Thunderbird, and the Atlanta, Georgia, suburbs of Woodstock and Hiram.
The company has seen the most success with On Location with fleet services, allowing for techs to come directly to fleet yards and service multiple vehicles. It’s also advertised as a benefit for auto shops that are unable to offer certain services, like ADAS calibrations or electrical diagnostics, making it easier for faster cycle times.
On Location is also entering partnerships with employers and benefits managers to offer the service as an employee benefit.
“We have been quietly piloting this new business line for the past two years,” said Matt Miller, director of special projects for Christian Brothers Automotive. “We’ve learned a lot and are excited to start expanding this service offering!”
