Ford has issued a recall for 1.45 million vehicles in the U.S. due to faulty backup cameras, reports Reuters.

The recall covers 2015 through 2019 model year Lincoln MKC, Lincoln Navigator, Mustang, F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, Expedition, Edge, Transit, Transit Connect, Econoline, and Ranger vehicles. A total of 1.9 million vehicles worldwide are affected, comprising 1.45 million vehicles in the United States, 122,000 in Canada, and around 300,000 in other markets.

Ford has received 44,123 warranty claims worldwide related to the issue, as well as reports of 18 related accidents, but no injuries.

This is the most recent in several recalls Ford has issued over the issue of backup cameras. Earlier this year, several 2015 model year vehicles were recalled by Ford for the same issue. The automaker had also agreed to a $165 million civil penalty in November after NHTSA determined it failed to issue a recall for faulty backup cameras in a timely manner.

To remedy the issue, dealers will be instructed to inspect and replace vehicle cameras on impacted vehicles.
