Ford has recalled over 100,000 Taurus sedans for door trims that can come loose while driving, reports USA TODAY.

Covered in the recall are a total of 101,944 vehicles, comprising 2016 to 2019 model year Taurus sedans.

According to the automaker, the issue stems from hand rollers not being used to apply the door trims. The device is used to ensure complete adhesion, but was not used after a process change in July 2016, which was then reversed in March 2019.

Ford has estimated about 1% of recalled vehicles are impacted by the defect, but is aware of 452 warranty claims filed as a result of the issue. Dealerships are being instructed to inspect and replace door trims as needed.
